Anti-Spam Policy
HTC Research Corp supports ONLY permission-based marketing practices.
HTC Research Corp has implemented various policies and procedures
that:
- Encourage permission-based marketing.
- Use double opt-in procedures for it's email communications.
- Respond to all complaints suggesting HTC has sent unsolicited
email.
Spam is Unsolicited Email
Spam is unsolicited commercial email (UCE), junk mail or bulk mail
that has not been requested by the recipient. In addition to being
perceived as intrusive, irrelevant and often offensive, it is also
typical that spam emails do not contain an option to unsubscribe
from the mailing list. Simply put, spam is the opposite of permission-based
emails — those that are requested, anticipated, personal and
relevant.
We use our Gotmarketing.com double Opt-In List Building:
Gotmarketing.com's Free Opt-in List Building — Campaigner
enables us to put an "Opt-in" form on our website. This
feature collects and stores an unlimited number of permission-based
recipients, seamlessly.
Gotmarketing.com's Double Opt-in — All Campaigner clients
can use an extra security feature in which an email address is not
added to the recipient list until a confirmation email is sent and
a reply is received. This is done seamlessly by the software. Campaigner
is the only email marketing software that offers this feature. Spam

Other Sources
From time to time we do use third party e-mail lists for advertising
purposes. Though we make every effort to make sure the vendors we
choose are reputable we ultimately have no guarantee that the lists
that they are providing us are 100% Double Opt-In. If a vendors'
list is found to have an unsually high proportion of email aaddress
that seem to be questionable that vendor will be given an intial
warning to clean their email list and if the complaints continue
on subsequent mailings or if the first mailing generates a certain
percentage of complaints, the vendor
dropped from our vendor list immediately. HTC Research can and does
not assume any responsibility for the quality of third party vendor
email lists.
Dealing with Complaints
HTC Research Corp takes permission marketing very seriously. Notwithstanding
the entire preventative measures outlined in the section above,
occasionally we do receive complaints from recipients of an email
campaign. When a complaint is received the following process is
followed:
- Every complaint that is received gets read and acted upon to
by one of our employees.
- Where the email address of the complainant is known, it will
be immediately unsubscribed from the relevant customer list by
a HTC Research Corp employee.
- When the email address of the complainant is known, they will
be notified that their email address has been removed. If the
complaint came via an ISP, they too will be notified of the action
taken.
